the ROAD TO Spanish FLUENCY

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all curriculum — The Road to Spanish Fluency program is a guided, step-by-step journey designed to help you speak confidently and naturally in real-world situations. Basically, it's the course I wish I could have taken back when I was learning Spanish (but that course didn't exist, so I set out to create it).

The course was designed to help you move seamlessly from essential survival phrases to confident conversation (no Google translate necessary). You’ll build vocabulary that’s actually relevant to your life, practice with real-life dialogues and scenarios, and steadily develop your speaking and listening skills in a way that feels natural and empowering.

You’ll also get access to curated materials and live instruction that break Spanish down in a way that makes sense — no grammar dumps or dry drills. The focus is always on practical application, and each lesson builds toward authentic interaction. Whether you're joining through private coaching, group classes, or on-demand content, you'll be following a smart, flexible path that meets you exactly where you and gives you the tools you actually need to become fluent — fast.

UNIT 1: Survival basics

In the first unit, we dive into the real-life Spanish you’ll need to comfortably navigate daily life in Latin America — what we like to call "tourist Spanish". Think: Ordering at restaurants, shopping at local markets, and asking for help, all while practicing the kind of small talk that helps you connect with others. We also introduce the past tense for the first time, giving you the tools to talk about recent experiences in a natural way.

A big focus here (and throughout the entire course) is conversation confidence. Through guided speaking practice, you’ll start to break through the fear of using Spanish out loud. By the end of the unit, you’ll have levelled up to "traveler Spanish" — the kind of language that helps you connect with people, build friendships, and start feeling at home.

UNIT 2: Storytelling & Writing

Unit 2 emphasizes reading and writing skills, with a focus on constructing stories and understanding when to use the two main past tenses. While the beginning of this unit is more writing-focused, we continue speaking practice, particularly when narrating events from previous days.

We also focus on reading to help expand your vocabulary and see both past tenses in action. By the end of this unit, you’ll be able to write a multi-page short story and tell a shorter, detailed story on the spot.

UNIT 3: Debate & Real-World Conversations

In this unit, we delve deeper into speaking and discussion, engaging in debates and reading real-world articles to further improve vocabulary. This unit also focuses on the finer points of grammar as they relate to real-world conversations.

We cover practical situations you might face while living in Latin America, such as dealing with a doctor, mechanic, or giving directions around town. This unit is primarily conversation-based, helping you improve fluency and comfort in everyday interactions.

Friendly Conversation

UNIT 4: The Subjunctive

Unit 4 introduces the subjunctive, a unique concept in Spanish that doesn't exist in English. While the idea behind it may seem complex, its usage is relatively straightforward once you understand the concept.

In this unit, we’ll focus on building confidence in using the subjunctive in different contexts to elevate your Spanish fluency.

"I found Anthony online after moving to Mexico with my husband to enjoy retirement in his home state of Zacatecas. Anthony's content and teaching style is exactly what I needed to supercharge my Spanish acquisition. My Spanish comprehension and conversational skills have increased dramatically thanks to Anthony. I highly recommend giving him a shot if you really want to learn and use Spanish."
